How Polymarket Explained tests products and markets

We do not need to place a financial trade to have product experience. Opening an interface, checking a workflow, inspecting a market, querying an API and verifying a screenshot are real tests. We label what we did.

Evidence labels

UI TEST means we opened and inspected an interface. WORKFLOW TEST means we followed a product path without claiming an unperformed transaction. SCREENSHOT VERIFICATION means a first-party screen was checked. MARKET OBSERVATION means we inspected a live market and its book. API OBSERVATION means a public product endpoint returned the cited data. RESEARCHED, CALCULATED, INFERRED and OPINION say exactly what kind of claim follows.

How a page gets tested

We start with the product where possible. We inspect the market rules and visible liquidity, then compare what we saw with official docs, public APIs and regulator material when legal context matters. The fact registry keeps reusable evidence, scope and review dates. The article adds the practical judgment: what was clear, what was awkward, and whether the choice would make sense to us.

Limits

We do not create accounts, connect wallets, deposit, withdraw, trade or recover funds for editorial testing. We never invent exact deposits, fills, fees or speeds. If access is blocked, a route is account-specific, or sources conflict, we say so.
